Into this world of miracles and eternal wonderment, Slumberland Records and Lost and Lonesome are delighted to welcome When You Smiled and Turned Away, the new LP from ‘90s Australian indie pop legends The Cat’s Miaow – out 23rd October 2026!

All the hallmarks of the band’s classic sound remain intact: a fragile, warm melancholia built minimally around the songwriting of Bart Cummings and Andrew Withycombe (on guitar and bass, respectively), the exuberant patter of Cameron Smith’s brushed drums and the glow of Kerrie Bolton’s celestial soprano vocal. This new collection of songs (remarkably, The Cat’s Miaow’s debut studio album!) follows the band’s practice of celebrating life’s small moments.
