Los Blancos

Welsh psych-punkers Los Blancos have announced they will release their debut albumSbwriel Gwyn (transl. White Trash) via Libertino Records on 27th September, revealing a hurtling long-player packed with adrenalin rushed guitars and beautifully chaotic, slacker-rock noise.

Opening single ‘Dilyn Iesu Grist’ (transl. ‘Follow Jesus Christ’) is a spikey and unrelenting race to the finish line. A song that demands to be noticed, with an immediacy that echoes the MC5’s punk before punk rallying call and culminates cosmically with a glorious ‘falling down the stairs’ guitar solo.

Vocalist and bassist Dewi Jones explains “it’s a song about empty rhetoric and how something that is utter nonsense can sound profound and meaningful. It is not necessarily a dig at religion; it can apply to popular culture or politics, such as ‘brexit means brexit etc’ or cringey inspirational quotes on social media”.
