GROUNDS are fast-rising London-based riffers who create heavy, hooky tracks. The trio are all about the sound that you can only get when jamming three instruments loudly in a small practise room, which comes to life like no other when playing live.
In a time when bands are using sample replacements to clean up their production, GROUNDS have gone the opposite way, channeling influences Dinosaur Pile-Up, Mclusky and Nirvana by recording a raw, live sound that’s delivered with plenty of aggro.
The band are currently making a name for themselves playing in London’s sweatbox venues like the Old Blue Last, The Victoria, Brixton Windmill, Luna in Leytonstone and The Black Heart in Camden, playing alongside acts such as Thee MVP’s, Nervus, Paceshifters and Piano Wire. With a sound this blistering, they won’t be staying underground for long.
GROUNDS are Bertie (guitar/vocals), Louis Dale (drums) and Charlie Robery (bass).
